Jasym

The Jasym is my asym shortboard model, designed for waves with shape from waist high up to 3’ Hawaiian. Its outline is streamlined for speed, and the curves are tuned for quick response.

Mid- to high-level surfers will appreciate the instant speed off the takeoff and the ability to carve on rail while maintaining drive through the full turn. This board has a built-in “fifth gear”—your job is to harness that speed.

The rocker runs in a smooth, continuous curve. Under your stance, I’ve carved out a double-barrel slot channel, which slightly flattens the rocker, shortening water travel distance to create speed. The channel also directs water out the tail efficiently, translating into supercharged drive.

The baseline fin setup is twin + trailer on the toeside and quad on the heelside. My R&D riders use it universally, but I’ve placed the fin boxes to allow other setups—pure twin, twin + trailer both sides, quad, or mixed. The asym design adapts well to fin changes, always maintaining the speed and drive asym boards are known for.
